The warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse of the knife. Knives as good as ours rarely break or fail because of a defect. Usually they break or fail from what we call “tool abuse”—using them for unsuitable tasks like prying or pounding. Therefore, blade tip breakage is not covered by our warranty. Use of a knife for any purpose other than cutting voids the warranty. So please match the tool to the task and use your knife only for cutting. The knife will last longer, and you’ll be safer too. Misuse of your blades can cause serious injury or even death. It can also cause your knife to break or fail and the warranty will not apply. I am a professional hunting guide and packer. I guide spring horseback bear hunts in northern Idaho and fall elk and mule deer hunts in Colorado. I received the Triall knife with an order I placed over the winter and decided to order some replacement blades for it so I would have a backup knife for skinning instead of having to resharpen. I used these blades to skin and short quarter bears this season. I have skinned and quartered up to two bears with a blade and even resharpened and did a third with the same blade. The knife is low profile and fits perfectly in my pack. They are also cheap enough for those of us who are skinning a lot of animals throughout a season! As always, great job Prois!
