Prois Hunting Apparel Welcomes Holly Heyser to Field Staff!
Kirstie Pike, Founder & CEO Prois Hunting Apparel
Surrounding oneself with great people is the key to success. Prois has been fortunate in this respect. We believe our Pro-Staff and Field-Staff truly represent the heart and soul of female hunters and shooters everywhere. That said, we are eager to announce the addition of Holly Heyser to our Field Staff. Welcome aboard, Holly!
Holly Heyser is a lifelong journalist who began hunting in 2006 at the age of 41, and began documenting her experiences one year later on her NorCal Cazadora blog (norcalcazadora.com). Located in suburban Sacramento, Heyser is an avid duck hunter, but she also enjoys hunting the rest
of the Golden State’s bounty: wild boar, blacktail deer, dove, wild turkey, pheasant and rabbit (so far). Her day job is teaching journalism at California State University, Sacramento, where she advises the campus newspaper, but she is an active freelance writer and photographer whose credits include the Sacramento Bee, the Art of Eating, Meatpaper, California Waterfowl, Delta Waterfowl, Gastronomica and Edible Sacramento. She has also done extensive volunteer work for California Waterfowl, which honored her in September 2009 with its Artemis Award in recognition of her efforts to help other women learn to hunt, and to help non-hunters understand what hunting is about.
